Expansion of Services Announced for MAT/OUD (MOUD)

Ann Tucker

In an effort to increase access to services that treat opioid use disorder (OUD), LDH has announced an expansion of services for medication assisted treatment (MAT) for OUD (MOUD), which is a national best practice initiative with proven results. This expansion will bring the total number of MOUD clinics to 12, of which two will offer 24/7 access.

Two new clinics in Houma and Bogalusa: Behavioral Health Group (BHG) was chosen through a rigorous request for application process to open new clinics in the Bogalusa and Houma areas, new service locations predicated on areas most in need.

Existing clinics to offer 24/7 access in Shreveport and on Northshore: LDH has also announced that two existing clinics, BHG-Shreveport and BAART/BayMark-Northshore, will offer 24/7 onsite access to MAT for persons with opioid use disorder.
