Louisiana Department of Health Guidance on Requesting PPE and Other Medical Supplies/Equipment

LDH understands that there has been significant requests for PPE and other medical supplies/equipment.  Previously you may have been told to go through your Parish EOP (Emergency Operations Center) or use the app, ReadyOps – effectively immediately, please discontinue using those avenues. In an effort to streamline that process, LDH has developed the following protocols for you to seek the PPE/supplies that you need:

  1. To the extent possible, please continue to use the vendor/supply chain you would normally to request such supplies.

  2. LDH is keeping a list of unique providers (as they become made known to us). You may be able to receive supplies more quickly by purchasing from them directly.  Click "Read More" below to view PPE vendor listing.

  3. You can call the State Supply Hotline at 225-325-5900 to be put on LDH's list as supplies become available. This phone line is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST.

This guidance is for NON-government entities.  Additionally, this is not a guarantee that you will receive PPE – LDH is prioritizing supplies that go out based on need.  You may receive some of your request in an effort to assist as best we can.  LDH understands there are shortages of supplies everywhere across the state and the U.S., so please be patient as we look to distribute our limited resources the best way we can. Read more
