Public Comment Welcomed on Plan to Offer Certain Medicaid Services to Individuals Prior to Release from Incarceration

LDH [8/01] - The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is providing notice of intent to submit an 1115 waiver application to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for a Reentry Demonstration, requesting to provide certain covered services to Medicaid-eligible individuals 90 days prior to their release from prison or jail. LDH is holding a public comment period from August 1 to August 30, 2024, which includes two public hearings around the state. The formal public notice and proposed waiver application is accessible for public review at ldh.la.gov/1115Reentry.
