Renewed Congressional Push to Create Corrections-Based Treatment Programs

Senators Ed Markey and Lisa Murkowski announced the reintroduction of the Community Re-Entry through Addiction Treatment to Enhance (CREATE) Opportunities Act, bipartisan legislation to create a new federal grant program to support opioid-use disorder treatment at state and local correctional facilities. Representative Kuster will introduce identical legislation in the House of Representatives.
