CDC releases training for health care providers on PDMP

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Injury Prevention and Control announced a new training on the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP). The interactive module, part of a training series called Applying CDC’s Guideline for Prescribing Opioids, is intended for healthcare providers and offers tips, tools, and resources to help providers, State health departments, PDMP managers to improve opioid prescribing practices and to reduce opioid-related harms. The module also includes recommendations from the CDC’s Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain.
