The page provides background on the basics of excessive alcohol and substance use and includes information specific to COVID-19. The CDC also provides information for States and communities and healthcare providers. Finally, an extensive list of resources is provided, including a virtual treatment and recovery program locator, mental health crisis helplines, stress and coping exercises, and COVID-19 specific resources developed by the CDC.
